Follow up 


When I talk to someone, and we decide I'm going to send more information, it is best to discuss the next step or when you should follow up with them. 


Instead of leaving it open ended, I ask: "Would it be better to follow up with you this afternoon or tomorrow?" 

That way, the next call is good customer service that builds trust, especially if you call when you say you agreed. 

It also changes the overall tone and it is no longer a cold account and instead of harassment, it's more like: 'remember, you wanted me to call you...' 

Your first call should be the only cold call, after that, you are providing professional follow up and building a relationship.
